What drives pricing?
You probably noticed a wide range of price points out there. This range can leave you uncertain about what you should be paying for a service, yes? There are reasons for this. Hopefully, I can shed some light on why.

The most significant factor includes the scope of work for each project. Is it a straightforward project based on a template, or is it a custom design? Is it more textbase or one with more elements? Do you already have branding in place to guide the design, or are we starting fresh? Does the scope of work require more meetings to develop a marketing strategy? Are there different players within an organization that need to provide input? Will there be multiple revision cycles? The price range is based on the time commitment, customization, complexity, number of revisions, and how many examples the client wants to choose from. All of this contributes to the size of the scope. Therefore, the size of the scope correlates directly to the price.

A designer’s experience level and what they bring to the table with that experience impacts the price. A more experienced designer knows the interrelationships between design, branding, printing and marketing. They have a forward-looking understanding of different use cases, industry knowledge, life experience, and a more extensive portfolio to give you confidence in their abilities. Their client testimonials will further solidify your choice.

Opting for a template or a custom design will determine what end of the scale a design fits into. The lower end is typically template-based, meaning you pay to use a design that’s been produced for the masses, but then specifically tweaked for your brand. I’m sure you’ve come across logo designs that look familiar, or you’ve seen similar-looking posts on social media. These are templates, and the price tag fits that. So, the question you must pose next is, do you want to stand out from the competition and have confidence that your design isn’t a carbon copy? If yes, then a custom design is for you.

FOOD TRUCK OR TRAILER WRAP DESIGN | STARTING AT $2500
Food truck and trailer wrap’s done right are worth every penny. Having a unique and visually powerful wrap design is important for your branding because it will catch the eyes of customers. Food trucks are absolutely judged by their covers. See the Ginger Pig or The MAINE Event for a case study. Base price includes three designs to choose from and one round of edits.
Most wrap designs cost between $2,500-$4,000 depending on the type of vehicle, the number of edits, and complexity.
BROCHURE | STARTING AT $500
Brochures can mean different things to each client. Do you need a single printed sheet, a bi-fold, a bi-fold with pockets, a tri-fold, or a multipage magazine-like brochure? The design could be complicated with a lot of information to convey or minimalist. It’s important to talk this one over, contact me to get a better idea of what you need and how much that could cost.
Average client cost falls between $500-$1,000.
STYLE GUIDE | STARTING AT $1,500
A brand style guide is all about consistency for your brand. A style guide will include your logo, font type combinations, colors, and other visual assets that dictate how your brand assets are used. The style guide helps business owners stay organized and consistent when making updates to their website, creating social media posts, or using printing services. That means you don’t have to come to me; all the answers are right there. Here’s an example of a style guide created for a company that stressed trust and reliability because that’s what they were selling as a financial fiduciary, and incidentally, the company was purchased.
The average client cost falls between $1,500-$2500. Why the range? Mainly for two reasons. First, am I updating an existing guide or starting from scratch? Second, size of the guide. The example is at the starting rate vs. full books or manuals.
