Using the Creative Brief, copywriting, and direct client input as a guide, our main objective was to replicate across the Source Find Asia website a consistent branded look that includes the different assets, colors, and fonts previously selected. This site was brought to me unfinished and in rough shape with technical issues created by an inexperienced designer they had unfortunately hired. We worked hard debugging the site, bringing the website to a stable and reliable state to purchase their services. Along the way, I was to improve upon the layout described in their Creative Brief and redesigned a small subset of sections added to individual pages. This included creating custom code for different design elements that Squarespace doesn’t provide out of the box solutions for, giving us the opportunity to be the bridge between client ideas and available technical solutions that met their budget. Finally, we designed the eCommerce* portion of the website with a clear unified visual message.

This project was challenging, interesting, and gratifying to complete. There were a lot of moving parts, and the collaboration was a great team-based success.

A website does get judged by its cover.
Make sure yours is responsive - looking good on all device types.

Drag and drop web design systems are great for small businesses. Still, most business owners fall into one of two categories: they either quickly get overwhelmed by the learning curve, or they know they don’t have time to focus on anything outside of the services they provide. Those who pick a template they like and get the basics done find that they don’t look the way they want it to when viewed on different screen sizes. Then they get further frustrated after they show their friends and family when a handful all say they see something different for the same page. One sees a word truncated across two lines, another sees it perfectly, another notices that the word goes right off the side of the page. This is where experienced designers can help because they know the ins and outs of responsive design. We know how to write the code to make all the different elements dance into place as the screen size changes between different devices or resizes on your desktop.
